Overall, February turned out to be a wonderfully uneventful month! We've had amazing, unseasonably warm weather, which we've tried to enjoy with random trips to the park and hanging out outside. Our biggest "project" for the month has been getting the floors covered in our garage, so we've spent a decent amount of time trying to get organized...still not done yet...and have done a few very minor projects around the inside of the house as well.
A few weekends ago, we took what was supposed to be a rainy Saturday and made a trip to Boone to go to an ASU basketball game. We arrived in Boone to find PERFECT weather, so we met up with Uncle Whit and Aunt Miss and their friends, who were also there for the weekend, and enjoyed some beautiful sunshine and lunch before heading to the game. After the game, we spent a few minutes shopping...and dropping money at the ASU bookstore, as usual...before heading home. It was a fun day!
The other "noteworthy event" of February is, of course, Valentine's Day! Just like last year, Daddy surprised us all with an assortment of flowers and candy, and a BIIIIG bear that the girls are tackling on the floor as I type! :) We also shared an early "romantic" dinner at Carrabas for the whole family. (Gary and I followed up with a "date after 8" at home the following weekend)
Last weekend, aside from cleaning the garage, we took some time to get started on our planned garden...nevermind the fact that there's not even a tint of green in any of the thumbs in our family, or the fact that we don't really have a lot of yard space, not to mention any with direct sun light, we still decided we're going to give it a shot! So we started from scratch with an assortment of yummy produce seeds...not a lot of investment, and it was a fun little experiment with the girls, so we'll see what we come up with! :)
Other than that, it's pretty much been "business as usual" around here.
I've uploaded an assortment of videos that give you an idea of what "usual" looks like. Our girls LOVE to sing...in every circumstance (sorry Macy!)...and we enjoy lots of sound, some "unplugged", and some in true idol fashion!
Daddy is gone for at least a week, so the girls and I are hanging around the house, hanging out with friends, and planning to spend some time with Mamaw and Papaw tomorrow. We've had a few nice tastes of it, and now we're glad to watch the calendar inch toward SPRING!!
